Cemetery Happily Surprised by Robotic Mowing
“I was sure it wouldn’t work but I have to admit I was wrong.”
Executive Summary
We spent weeks upon weeks working on a solution for the staffing and financial short-falls of this cemetery. We were able to make a significant improvement to their grounds and to their long term planning and long term needs.
Introduction / Background
The cemetery was not able to hire enough people to maintain the grounds. With what we are able to pay and the shortage of people willing to do the work, we needed another solution. THis solution replaced 2 employees we were unable to find.
Methodology
We spent weeks trying various mower brands and various models. We set up demos and encountered issues with topography and tombstones. We ran into problems with new graves and sink holes that would appear as well as the issues with new graves. We worked tirelessly to solve the problems and come up with a plan to work around the problems we encountered.
Results
The mower that worked best was the Sunseeker X7. The customer learned that this solution was the best solution for the staffing issues he was facing. He is excited to move to the X9 this season on additional areas of the cemetery.
Conclusion
The cemetery was able to maintain its reputation as a beautiful location that people visit. It was done with the use of mowers that were self driving and self charging. There is some attention needed by the customer but it is not an excessive amount.
